Everything under control with the right pomade
So completely and occasionally you find yourself with your hands in your hair in despair. The hair does not cooperate and is untreatable. The hair is not in the right cut. Very annoying. You have something else on your mind early in the morning when you're fiddling with your hairstyle in front of the mirror. Fortunately, you have all kinds of useful tools. Our motto is always: "No matter what happens as long as your hair looks good." And to do it properly you need a pomade. This blog explains what is available on the market and how to use it.
Which pomade should I buy?
Always decide for yourself first what you want. If necessary, seek advice from your barber or hairdresser. For example, do you have thin hair and want more volume and strength? Or keep bouncy curly hair more under control with a strong pomade. Do you prefer a natural matte shine in the hair or a super shine shine?
There are basically 2 types of pomades. The classic wax pomade based on (animal) fat, parrafin and beeswax. And the water- and (vegetable) oil-based pomade. A water-based pomade is easy to apply and dries quickly. Your haircut will remain in perfect shape all day long. A pomade with a greasy oil or wax base will not dry in the hair. This allows you to re-style your hairstyle throughout the day. This pomade is more difficult to wash out than a water-based hair gel.

How do you use a pomade?
It is best to apply your hair gel or pomade to towel-dried hair. This allows you to apply and distribute it better. Depending on the amount of hair, use your finger or nail to remove a small amount of pomade from the jar, the size of a hazelnut. Rub a small amount between the palms or fingers. Distribute and process evenly and thoroughly. If necessary, use a comb or brush to further distribute it nicely. And then style your hair.
