We are confronted with small and large annoyances every day, including during the morning shaving ritual. We have listed the biggest shaving-related dissatisfaction. Of course, we also provide some tips to prevent these annoyances. We would like to know whether these are also your irritations? We are highly recommended.
1. Dull razor blades
Before you really notice it, the razor or razor blades appear to be blunt. You have soaped up your face and then you feel the blade pulling on your beard hairs. Because you already have the blade in your razor holder, you naturally continue shaving. Even though it doesn't feel pleasant or comfortable. After shaving you think: 'If only I had replaced the blade in time!'
Because the modern cartridge multi-blade blades from the major well-known brands are very expensive, people often spend too long shaving with a dull razor. As we have often said, dull razor blades ultimately cause shaving irritation during and after shaving.
Tip
Always change the blade on a fixed day of the week. For example, a new razor every Monday. Or use a dice next to your razor to keep track of how many times you've shaved. We heard this nice tip from a loyal customer of ours.
2. We've run out of shaving soap
Early in the morning we are not fully awake yet. Sleepily you unscrew the lid of your favorite shaving soap or cream and to your horror it turns out to be gone. To your great annoyance, your wife or partner shouts: 'If only you should have bought a new shaving soap in time. I told you so!' Anyway, unfortunately you won't be able to shave properly that morning. Out of sheer desperation, you may use ready-made shaving foam from a spray can or shave with an electric shaver.

Perhaps next time you should listen more carefully to your wife or partner.
3. My wife uses your razor
Naturally, you handle your shaving equipment very carefully. After shaving, always clean everything thoroughly because a clean and sterile razor is very important. Your favorite razor always hangs spotlessly in the special holder or shaving set . The next morning you find out that your wife used your razor the night before to shave off the hair on her legs. The razor is still full of gunk and hair. You will of course no longer use this razor and it will go straight into the waste bin. The height of annoyance is of course when it turns out that my wife has used the last razor blade. For the umpteenth time you indicate that she should use her own razor. Unfortunately, women don't understand this.
Tip
Buy a razor with a pink or mint green handle for your wife or hide your razor blades.
4. Forgotten spots after shaving
After shaving, you cleaned and stored the razor and shaving brush. Rub your face with your fingers one more time. To your great annoyance, you have not shaved a few small areas properly. Very annoying. This usually involves the following parts of the face:
- at the bottom of the neck region;
- around the jawline and chin;
- around the upper lip at the corners of the mouth.
This is super annoying for the following reason:
- Despite the multiple shaving passes, you still did not shave these areas properly;
- If you don't shave it smoothly, you will rub it with your fingers all day long;
- This will annoy you for the rest of your day.
Tip
Make sure you always have a second simple, ready-to-use razor next to your favorite razor. If you have indeed forgotten these spots, you can quickly use this second razor as a 'secret weapon'.
5. Your shaving kit is not neatly in place
Just like in the workshop, garage or in your own shed, the tools always hang in a fixed place. This means you never have to search for the tool and prevent it from being damaged. Your shaving soap, aftershave, alum marker, razor and shaving brush are all neatly in the right place in the bathroom. Shaving is a ritual. Every man has his own shaving system and order of shaving. You don't want to make a mistake while shaving and you want to work as efficiently as possible. If someone else is going to use your shaving kit, it will always be in a different order after use. Or it is not in the right place.
Tip
Provide your own lockable area in the bathroom cabinet.
