Is shaving with the safety razor difficult?

Shaving with the safety razor does not mean learning to shave again. It takes some getting used to at first. After one week you will have completely mastered it and it will shave as easily and smoothly as a modern razor.

Which safety razor suits my beard growth best?

In case of a flaxen beard or light beard growth, you can shave perfectly with a light safety razor, such as the razor with the handy butterfly closure. Do you have normal or heavy beard growth? Then you will benefit greatly from a heavier razor. These are the razors with a closed comb shaving head. Cracking hard beard stubble and still want a smooth, comfortable shave? Then use a safety razor with an open tooth comb shaver head. Please note, razors with an open tooth comb shave slightly more directly or aggressively compared to regular safety razors with a closed comb.

Which safety razor suits my skin best?

Do you have sensitive skin and quickly suffer from chapped red skin or a burning sensation after shaving? In this case, you should use a mild razor. A mild razor is light to medium heavy and the shaving head has a closed comb.

For normal or firm skin you can use a slightly more aggressive razor. This razor has a little more weight or a closed comb shaving head. If you have really firm skin, you can also use a razor with a more aggressive open tooth comb.

Which safety razor should I use if I shave daily or every other week?

If you shave daily, the beard stubble will be short. Then use a regular safety razor with a closed comb. Do you have a soft beard or do you shave once every 2 weeks? Then the beard hairs have a nice length. A razor with an open tooth comb shaves longer hairs more efficiently.

Which safety razor is useful for shaving my beard?

If you have a beard, it is important that you can shave the beard contours closely. A light to medium razor with a closed comb is the perfect tool for shaving the beard edges. A shaving head with a closed comb has a rectangular shape. This means you know exactly where the razor cuts and shaves.

I want to be able to adjust the sharpness of the razor. Which safety razor should I buy?

The shaving surface of your skin differs per part of your face. The cheeks are easy and flat. The beard hairs here are soft. The chin is awkward and round. This is usually where the hardest beard hairs are located. The skin directly under the nose is thin and fragile. The neck area is also sensitive. Moreover, a close shave in the soft skin of your neck is never successful in one go. Would you like an efficient and comfortable close shave? Then use a safety razor that you can adjust. An adjustable razor has different shaving positions. You can set it to either mild, medium or aggressively sharp while shaving.

Early in the morning I want an easy and smooth shave. Which safety razor should I buy?

In the morning we are not yet fully awake and ready. Don't want too much hassle and fuss in the morning? Then use a razor with the convenient and efficient butterfly closure or twist-to-open mechanism. Just turn the handle and the shaving head opens. Place the razor blade in the shaving head and close it again. Ready for use.

Also useful are the razors with the lower part of the shaving head attached to the handle. The upper part is secured by a screw thread. Unscrew the top part. Place the blade in the shaving head and screw everything back in place.
