Popular razor blades
As you know, we started selling double edge razor blades and the safety razor in 2009. In the beginning, this type of shaving system was not very popular. In recent years, more and more men are discovering it and switching from cartridge multi-blade to the safety razor. More and more men are enthusiastic about the shaving properties. The razor is becoming so popular that even the well-known large razor brands have reintroduced the safety razor in the retail market. We have dug into our sales database again and compiled a top 5 of the most popular razor blades.
Top 5 double edge razor blades
The DE razor blade is a globally universal shaving system: the shape and dimensions are standardized. There are dozens of different brands, and they are produced in various countries and factories. All razor blades fit in all shaving heads of the safety razor.
The blade is clamped in the shaving head of the holder. This ensures that it is firmly in place and cannot move back and forth while shaving. In the case of a threaded shaving head, the blade is clamped in the shaving head using a screw connection between the shaving head and the handle.
Very well-known are the razors with a so-called butterfly closure. You turn the knob in the handle, the shaving head pops open, you place the blade in, and turn the shaving head closed again. The advantage of this system is that you can quickly and easily change blades.
The combination of the alloy, coatings, and sharpening of the blade ensures that it shaves perfectly and efficiently and feels comfortable on the skin. Most of us have normal beard growth. It is therefore not surprising that the most popular blades are suitable for normal beard growth. Based on our own experiences and the reviews of various users, we have created a classification regarding quality, sharpness, and shaving properties:
- one ★ is mildly sharp;
- two ★★ is sharp and;
- three ★★★ means extremely sharp.
Using the handy filter 'Shaving Property' on our webshop, you can easily and quickly select the right blade. For example, if you have a thin light beard, you select the mildly sharp (★) blades. If you have a heavy beard growth or very hard stubble, you will benefit greatly from the extra sharp (★★★) razor blades.
