It is always nice to dive into your sales data from the past 10 years and analyze what sells well or not. Recently, we looked at which pre-shave creams or oils sell well. We have compiled a Top-5 of the best-selling pre-shave products. This concerns sales data from the period 2010 to 2020 from our NL webshop for the Netherlands and Belgium. Of course, we also took a look at the figures from 2020. And here we see exactly the same top-5.
What is a pre-shave?
We've said it before: 'A pre-shave product is not necessary but can contribute to extra shaving comfort.' A good preparation beforehand ultimately leads to less trouble afterwards. Well, that applies to many things in life. So it also applies to shaving. A pre-shave product provides extra protection while shaving. This reduces the chance of shaving irritation during and after shaving.
If you have dry skin and suffer a lot from a dry, chapped skin after shaving, then you will benefit greatly from a good pre-shave oil. Or if you have heavy beard growth, a pre-shave will soften the beard hairs a bit.

What we see is that once customers buy this preshave oil, they always start using it. It becomes part of the regular shaving ritual.
It is a thin oil, making it easy to apply and distribute. The advantage is that it quickly absorbs into the skin and does its job well. It actively protects and nourishes the skin. This preshave product has a light subtle citrus scent and contains avocado oil, jojoba oil, aloe vera extracts, wool fat extracts, and bergamot oil, among others.
4. Bluebeards Revenge pre shave oil
