Plisson 1808 was founded in 1808 by Jacques Louis and Marie-Hélène in Paris. Both come from a family of brush and fan makers. Plisson was the official court supplier of shaving equipment, shaving brushes, and beard brushes for Napoleon, the military staff, and the imperial family. Plisson is still a family business and offers a complete range of shaving products, razors, shaving brushes, and beard brushes. All products are made in France.

Lightly moisten the brush with lukewarm water, lather with shaving soap, move the brush back and forth over the face. Lather on the face for at least 1 minute. After use, rinse the brush with warm water, and finally hang the brush upside down in a brush holder.
