Since 1920, Giesen & Forsthof has been a manufacturer of professional hairdressing scissors, safety razors and straight razors in Solingen, Germany. Giesen & Forsthof's professionals are trained within the company itself. Timor® is a registered trademark of Giesen & Forsthoff.

In 1920, Paul Giesen and Eugen Forsthoff founded their cutlery company in Solingen. From the beginning, the G + F and Timor brands have stood for quality. In 1945, co-founder Forsthoff left the company. The Giesen family has been alone at the helm of the company since then and is now headed by the third generation. The company's headquarters in Solingen has been continuously expanded and modernized. The range is also continuously adapted to the needs and requirements of customers and consumers. Timor safety razor with butterfly closure
Timor's safety razors with the so-called butterfly closure or twist-to-open shaving head are known worldwide. The butterfly closure makes it easy and safe to change the double edge razor blades. The dial is located at the bottom of the handle. Just turn this knob and the shaving head will open or close again. You place the DE blade in the shaving head and close it again. The blade is clamped firmly. Ready for shaving. While shaving, turn it briefly and the shaving head will open and you can rinse the razor clean while shaving. Convenience serves the man. The shaving head is a closed comb. These safety razors are made of chrome-plated metal, the length of the handle is between 80 mm and 100 mm and the weight is on average 68 grams. The butterfly closure razors are suitable for light to normal beard growth.

Timor also has safety razors with a fixed threaded shaver head and a nice range of robust luxury razors, the Vintage range. These Vintage razors have a handle made of Walnut wood, Ebony wood and Olive tree wood. The length of the handle of this range is 100 mm and the weight is on average 82 grams. These razors are suitable for normal to heavy beard growth.

The Timor® razor blades are the perfect complement to the G & F razors. The G & F Double Edge blades also fit perfectly in safety razors from various brands. The stainless steel blades are individually packed in wax paper and 10 pieces in a handy dispenser.
