Product information
Pure craftsmanship. The Bismarck is one of the most famous razors worldwide. Very beautiful classic straight razor with a handle of dark ebony wood and a decorated shaving foil. The shaving blade is gilded with 24 carat gold leaf. The shaving foil has a size of 6/8". This makes this razor suitable for shaving heavy beard growth.

Our straight razors are sharpened razor sharp by a professional sharpener and guaranteed ready to shave.

Otto Eduard Leopold von Bismarck-Schönhausen was a famous and important statesman in the then German Empire and Europe in the 19th century. Due to his authoritarian way of ruling, he was nicknamed the "iron chancellor".

Usage

Moisten face and lather well
Hold the razor between your thumb and 3 fingers - see instruction drawing
Hold the razor at a 30 degree angle to the skin
Use a slightly smaller angle on the cheek, chin and upper lip
Press the razor lightly onto the skin
First shave with the beard hairs
While shaving, stretch the skin with the other hand
Shave with gentle, even movements

Use the razor safely and carefully! Practice around the sideburns and cheeks at first. After a few days you can carefully shave the chin and neck area. Sharpen the razor regularly with the ironing strap.
