The famous Böker from Solingen has been producing straight razors since 1896. A new straight razor of impeccable quality is created in 170 artisanal production steps. And razor sharp.
Product information
The cowhide tension strap is the finishing touch for making the straight razor razor sharp again. The tension strap can be used as an alternative to the shaving strap. The belt can be tensioned tightly using the tensioning mechanism.
The tension strap is ideal for maintaining straight razors on both sides. The maintenance can be carried out on the two different sides of the belt with different abrasive pastes. If necessary, use Red or Green ironing paste for optimal sharpening of the razor. Spread a little of this ironing paste on the red side of the tension strap. The leather side without paste is intended for stripping.
Usage
- Lay the tension strap flat on a table
- If necessary, tighten the tension belt.
- If necessary, rub a little ironing paste into the leather of the tension strap
- Hold the razor at the shoulder (the hinge part) of the foil
- Press the razor lightly against the belt
- Run the razor back and forth over the tension strap with a gentle pulling motion
- Tilt the razor over the spine of the foil in the other direction
- Clean the shaving foil with a soft cloth.

Good product, over time you become a little more convenient and it goes a bit faster. Just a pity that I did not immediately order the pasta. Very important not to touch the leather with the cutting area, then the noose becomes useless. Again good for your Pingping loyalty points then.
